The extraordinary 7.25-carat Russian Alexandrite is set into a hand-fabricated three-stone ring outfitted with step-cut side stones. The unique color-changing characteristics of Alexandrite make it irresistible for any collector to own. Russian writer Nikolai Leskov described Alexandrite in 1884: “Look, here it is, the prophetic Russian stone! O crafty Siberian! It was always green as hope, and only toward evening was it suffused with blood.” Little did he know that the once-honorable epithet “Russian” in 2022 turned into a curse word by blood-thirsty dictator Vladimir Putin.
- Natural 7.25-carat gem Alexandrite, bluish-green in daylight, purplish-red under incandescent light.
